SOM Guidelines for Computer Lab Use
- No moving, removing or unplugging the computer hardware, mice, keyboards, or cables.
- No laptops on the wired network (exception: Instructors for instructional purposes). Laptops are allowed in the labs, but only on the wireless network.
- Do not change computer configuration settings, which include monitor/screen, sound, etc.
- Documents should be saved to your OneDrive, to a flash drive, or to a cloud storage account (individual profiles are deleted on log-off).
- No removing of chairs or furniture to other SOM spaces.
- Classrooms, labs, and workstations should be left in the same condition as you found them. This includes putting chairs back in place and logging out of the computer when you leave.
- No food or drink at computer workstations.
- Be respectful of sound levels.
- You are responsible for reading and abiding by all signs posted in the SOM computer labs and spaces.
- Report all computer-related questions or issues to C&IT.
- Request learning space supplies or questions to SOM Learning Spaces & Support.
- Report facility issues, comments, or suggestions to W.I.S.E. Program & SOM Facilities.
